Canyon Creek Rural Fire District L&C Case No. DV-25-674.  Please see the MEETINGS tab for the Agenda Packet with information, including the GENERAL RELEASE AND SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT, for public review in advance of the meeting (per MT Open Meetings Laws).

• CCRFD has scheduled the next Regular Monthly Meeting for MARCH to Tuesday 03/24/2026.  Please reference the MEETINGS tab for all Zoom information and the Agenda + Packet for your review at least 48 hours before the meeting date and time.  Stay tuned!

• Please note:  The resignation of appointed Trustee Kevin Zwicker effective 01/01/2026 was made public very shortly after.  With broken hearts we must update all that Kevin passed away on Saturday, Jan. 10th, 2026 after a very short but intense battle with cancer.                       ***UPDATE:  An appointment for the remainder of the open trustee term has been rescheduled by the BOCC to the middle of March.  ***LATEST:  On Tuesday 03/17/2026 the BOCC appointed RAY MILLER to the CCRFD Board of Trustees until the Special Election on May 5th.

• Please note:  There was an Action Item on January's Regular monthly board meeting to appoint a new probationary Fire Chief as Jonathan Cunningham resigned the morning of Fri., Jan. 9, 2026.  Update:  There was a ratification vote on February's Regular monthly board meeting for same.  **CONCLUSION** With a vote of 3-0-1 at both the January & February meetings, KAI BAUER (newly certified EMT) was voted in as the probationary Fire Chief for a period of at or about 6 months.  Congratulations Chief Bauer for earning your EMT certification and receiving votes of confidence in your ability to lead from the FF's, board and the public at two separate meetings!​​​​ ​     ​​
